The Canaan Chamber of Commerce has done much to enhance Canaan in the past few years. 2005 was no exception with the biggest Railroad Days celebration and just recently the festive Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony along with our local school band held in early December. It was the year that volunteers came out to do what they do best.

During the year the Canaan Chamber of Commerce helped raise money for a number of local charities. Organizations like Fishes and Loaves, the Fuel Bank and for our own Pat Pallone Scholarship Fund which has assisted a large number of our local students in the past few years giving out more than $4,000 in scholarships!

As you can see, the Chamber was very busy in 2005. Our plans for this year include encouraging new volunteers and maximizing all of our talents. There are many ways people and businesses can help.

We would like to encourage you to join your local Chamber of Commerce for the year 2006. Click HERE to download a Membership Application Form. We must receive your completed by March 1, 2006 in order to have your business listed in the new maps of Canaan that are being printed and distributed by the Canaan Chamber of Commerce for 2006 and 2007. Your membership dues cover from January 1, 2006 through December 31, 2006.

By becoming a member of the Canaan Chamber of Commerce, you will also receive a free listing on our website (canaanchamber.com) as well as having the ability to have your website linked to our site at a nominal fee.
